Serving as a community fundraiser and grantwriter, she is raising two young children with her husband, Dayne, in their hometown. Trish has been involved in advocacy work for many years and is running to stand up for better representation to meet the unique needs not only of her community, but the unique needs of those all around the district from Lewiston to Lenore, Kendrick to Kamiah. Trish’s leadership experience makes her a passionate advocate for the safety and well-being of children. She has served on the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) Board since 2008, starting as a youth board member and staying after being asked to remain on the board. That is why I am running for the Idaho House of Representatives to represent District 6. As a mother raising two children with my husband, I understand the real pressures rural families face every day; making ends meet, finding reliable healthcare, and building a future close to home. My campaign is rooted in those lived experiences and a deep commitment to our communities. I am running to invest in rural Idaho- because when our small towns are strong, our entire state is stronger. That starts with early childhood education, ensuring every child has a solid foundation, no matter their zip code. We must also act with urgency to save rural healthcare. Families should not have to travel hours for care, and we cannot afford to keep losing providers. Access to healthcare is not optional… it is essential. I will work to protect our forests and public lands, not just as resources, but as part of who we are. At the same time, I will support sustainable agriculture, making sure our family farms can thrive for generations to come. And I am committed to supporting working families with wages you can live on, because no one working full-time should struggle to meet basic needs. These priorities are connected. When we invest in our communities, protect what sustains us, and support the people doing the work, we build a future where families can stay, grow, and thrive.
